During a recent conference, the South Korean president praised BLACKPINK‘s Rosé and KATSEYE‘s Yoonchae for their Grammy nomination, proving the girls’ impact and positive influence for their culture.
On February 1st, Rosé and Yoonchae attended the prestigious award ceremony as nominees in three and two categories, respectively, but also made history on the stage with their own performances full of energy, passion, and talent.
Despite the girls not winning in their categories, they received an honorable mention from the South Korean president Lee Jae-myung through a personal statement on his X account celebrating HUNTR/X win in the category, but also:
“Although they didn’t win, we also applaud BLACKPINK’s Rosé and KATSEYE’s Jung Yoon-chae, who clearly demonstrated their global competitiveness by being nominated.”
He finally said that the presidential cabinet “will continue to provide unwavering support so that our artists can showcase their talents on a wider stage,” receiving much support and positive reaction from fans on social networks for his tribute to these achievements.
