Stray Kids marks their eighth anniversary with a new song for fans titled “별, 빛 (STAY)”

The group releases “별, 빛 (STAY)” as a tribute to the fanbase that has supported them since 2018

Stray Kids celebrated an important milestone on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, by releasing a new single titled “별, 빛 (STAY).” The song was shared to mark eight years since the group’s debut in March 2018. According to Billboard, the anniversary track is dedicated to STAY (the group’s fans). It is also a message of appreciation for the support STAY has given the boy group throughout their almost decade-long career.

The song was written with direct participation from members HAN and Seungmin, who helped compose it and worked on the lyrics. “별, 빛 (STAY)” is described as a guitar and piano ballad that tells a story about people walking under the same sky and leaning on each other. The lyrics use images of stars and the universe, which are also reflected in the official artwork for the single. The visual identity links the track with Stray Kids’ official lightstick, and each of the eight members created a star for the cover, making the release feel even more personal for fans.

Stray Kids first debuted with the EP I Am Not in 2018, followed by I Am Who and I Am You later that same year. In 2020, the group released their first full album, GO生. Since then, Stray Kids has built a strong record of chart success. The boy band has become a main KPop group following the success of God’s Menu, Back Door, and the ODDINARY EP between 2020 and 2022. Their 2026 anniversary release continues that strong relationship between the group and their global audience.
