Spotify announced on May 27, 2026, that South Korean indie band Can’t Be Blue had been selected for its Radar Korea program. The project was created to support emerging artists and help them connect with new listeners around the world. In a statement shared after the announcement, the band said they felt honored and thankful for the opportunity. The members explained that they hoped the program would allow them to share their music and personal stories with more international fans in the future.

Can’t Be Blue debuted two years ago and has slowly become one of the rising names in Korea’s indie music scene. The band currently has more than 290,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Meanwhile, their debut song, “Within the Words I Once Called Love,” has already passed 3.4 million streams on the platform. According to Spotify, global streams of Korean indie music increased by 68 percent during 2025, helping artists like Can’t Be Blue reach more listeners outside South Korea.
“Amid the rapid rise of K-indie globally, Can’t Be Blue is leaving a strong impression on listeners with their authentic music and unique identity,” John Han, head of music at Spotify Korea, said. “Through Spotify’s Radar Korea, we look forward to helping more fans around the world discover and connect with the band’s music and story.”
To promote the Radar Korea campaign, the band pre-released their new track “Can’t Love” on May 27, 2026. The song features Stray Kids member Han, helping the track reach KPop listeners and STAYs. Also, Spotify confirmed plans to promote the group through playlists and additional content designed for global listeners. Since its launch in 2020, Spotify’s Radar program has supported more than 1,000 artists in 184 countries, including KPop acts like LE SSERAFIM, RIIZE, and BABYMONSTER.
