Spotify hosted its annual pre-Grammy showcase in Los Angeles on January 29, 2026, bringing together all of the 2026 Best New Artist nominees for a live performance event. The celebration took place at the Lot at Formosa in West Hollywood and marked the return of the showcase after it was canceled in 2025 because of wildfire recovery in Los Angeles. This year, the performers included Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, KATSEYE, The Marías, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and Lola Young. Each artist performed three to four songs for the audience, which had both fans and industry names attending.
The event highlighted a wide range of musical styles. Leon Thomas opened the night with a soul-flavored set and closed his performance with the hit song “Mutt.” Lola Young followed with an intimate four-song set, which was her first performance since September 27, 2025, when she fainted on stage at the All Things Go Festival in New York and was forced to take a break. Then, KATSYE delivered a high-energy pop performance with strong choreography, while The Marías presented bilingual dreamy pop, and Alex Warren performed pop ballads. Finally, sombr brought pop-rock with 80s influences aimed at younger audiences.
Addison Rae and Olivia Dean closed the showcase. Addison performed a medley that included “In the Rain,” “High Fashion,” and “Diet Pepsi,” while Olivia delivered a soulful final performance with hits such as “Man I Need”. Meanwhile, the 2026 Grammy Awards will be held on February 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+. All the Best New Artist nominees are scheduled to perform at the event.
