SEVENTEEN is making huge headlines in South Korea after most of its members went into mandatory military service. Currently, 8 out of 13 members are serving or scheduled to serve. So what’s going to happen to the boy band in the years to come?
Only five members will remain active in the Kpop scene, which means there will be significant changes in the group’s dynamic and presence. However, the members will fill the gap with some unit and solo activities, a strategy used before to keep SEVENTEEN’s flame alive.
Jeonghan and Joshua will be making their debut as another unit, adding fresh energy to SEVENTEEN’s catalog, while other members are expected to make announcements of their solo comebacks in the coming weeks to come. Despite these activities not fully replacing group activities, the idols will be making their biggest effort to keep entertaining their fandom and the Kpop scene overall.
