Santos Bravos earn their first Spotify Podcast Award in Mexico City

The Hybe Latin America group continues building popularity across Latin America

Santos Bravos recently reached an important milestone after winning their first trophy at the Spotify Podcast Awards in Mexico City on Wednesday, May 14, 2026. The five-member team, made up of Drew, Alejandro, Kaue, Gabi, and Kenneth, was given the Breakthrough Podcast award during the ceremony. This award recognizes new podcasts that have shown strong growth, fan support, and cultural impact over the past year. Winners of the category are chosen through Spotify data and fan voting, making the award an important sign of the group’s growing traction in Latin America.

Santos Bravos earned the win for their podcast series “Santos Bravos La Serie,” which gives fans a closer look at the group’s journey as a team. The series includes interviews with all five members, behind-the-scenes moments, and updates about their activities and training process. Fans have supported the podcast since the quintet’s debut in Mexico in October 2025, which came after they were put together through the Santos Bravos reality show.

The members also performed during the awards ceremony, opening with their energetic song “Kawasaki” before changing the mood with “Wow.” They later performed “Mhm” and “Velocidade,” all songs from their first mini-album “Dual.” The project will soon be released physically, marking the boy group’s first official release for fans.

Santos Bravos was launched under Hybe Latin America as part of Chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s global “multihome, multigenre” strategy for the company. The agency created the group to expand its presence in Latin America while combining KPop style training with the influences of Latin American music. Earlier in 2026, the members traveled to South Korea for promoting theur music on shows, radio appearances, and YouTube content.
