In recent reports the BLACKPINK members seem to be fighting for the first place in the music charts, and there’s a new winner, as Rosé‘s ‘rosie‘ surpassed Jennie‘s ‘ruby‘ as the best-selling digital female K-pop album in China.
After years of working together, reaching their group’s global success, the girls release their solo projects, getting even more popular around the world but also turning each of their members into their own competitors in the industry.
The chart fight was evident when last year, 2025, Jennie, with her solo album ‘ruby’ became the best selling digital female K-pop album of the year in China, and it’s currently on top with cumulative revenue of ¥25.2 million.
However, her throne was stolen by her BLACKPINK member, Rosé, who recently achieved ¥25.9 million, consolidating herself as the female digital album with the highest income in the history of Chinese platforms.
For their part, the second and third places on the list of competitors are occupied by her other two members, Jisoo with ‘AMORTAGE‘ with approximately ¥14.1 million and Lisa with her album ‘Alter Ego‘ with ¥8.3 million.
On social networks, fans react with comments like: “Just Blackpink can be above Blackpink,” “rosie is a masterpiece💖✨,” “My girls always rocking it! 🤍🔥,” “A queen surpassing another queen,” “Numberone girl collecting all the records of been numberone. I’m so proud of my baby girl.”
