RIIZE made their anticipated return with their second mini-album, “II,” on June 15, along with the release of their title track, “Do Your Dance.” The idols’ new project became an instant classic among K-pop fans who cannot help but stream the album aloud. Ultimately, all of RIIZE’s efforts paid off.
On June 17 KST, the Hanteo Chart reported that “II” sold an impressive total of 916,373 copies on its first day of sales alone, breaking RIIZE’s previous first-day sales record of 805,985 set by their first full-length album “ODYSSEY” last year. Once again, the idols have showcased their evolution over the months by gathering even a greater crowd for their latest release.
The album is not only making waves in the South Korean music market but worldwide. “II,” shot No.1 on iTunes Top Album charts in Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Indonesia. It is not a surprise that K-pop music is taking a large proportion of the music industry with its catchy releases, and it shows. Congratulations to the idols for breaking their personal record and skyrocketing their careers to a new level.
