During a recent interview, Red Velvet‘s Joy opens up to fans about her personal concerns, showing an intimate side of herself while going through hard times.
On September 11th, the K-Pop idol attended the KBS 2TV‘s music talk show, where she performed her song ‘Hello’ and then reflected on the feelings during the girl group contract renewal and about her recently turning 30.
While talking about Red Velvet, Joy confessed, “Two years ago was the time to renew our contracts, and I was very anxious, fearing the team might end.” However, she later “confirmed the members’ strong commitment” and expressed her pride to her fans.
About her personal concerns of getting old, she said, “At twenty-nine, I was worried that if I wasn’t young or pretty anymore, people might stop noticing me,” but now she can say that she feels even younger.
“After turning thirty, I feel like I’m one year old again.”
“A thirty-year-old baby.”
Despite all these concerns, the idol has demonstrated that she is determined to try many things in her artistic career, showing her fans more of her talents as she revealed she will be challenging herself with new dramas and animation dubbing as actress Park Soo Young.
