Red Velvet will make their comeback with the special album ‘Velvet Summer’

A few hours ago, Red Velvet announced they will make their comeback with the special album ‘Velvet Summer’ with a completely new aesthetic, giving the group a different identity.

On July 4th, the girls updated their social networks, changing their profile pictures and posting a short video of a colourful animated drawing of a mermaid next to a surfer in the middle of the sea with a mystical and melancholic aesthetic.

The post captioned ‘Meet The Surfin’ Boy‘ also announced Red Velvet’s upcoming release will be a mini-album titled ‘Velvet Summer’, coming on August 3rd at 6PM (KST).

Hours later, the SM Entertainment girl group revealed more details about this comeback, like this album will have a total of 5 tracks, including the title track ‘Surfin’ Boy‘, and that fans can pre-order from today.

This will be the legendary girl group’s first music release as a full group since their mini-album ‘Cosmic‘ from June 24, 2024, in celebration of their tenth debut anniversary, led by the title track of the same name.
