Organizers confirm the 2026 event with large number of exclusive titles
Record Store Day organizers have officially announced the list of special music releases for the 2026 edition of the event. The annual celebration will take place on April 18, 2026, and will include more than 350 exclusive titles. The announcement was posted on February 4, 2026, and features artists from different generations and genres. Most releases will be limited edition vinyl records, including colored and specially designed pressings for collectors and independent record stores, which will most likely not be restocked after the event.
Major artists and special reissues are revealed in the official lineup
Among the highlights are releases by David Bowie, Charli XCX, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, and Fall Out Boy. One notable vinyl reissue will present Joni Mitchell’s 1972 album For the Roses with its original cover, which was rejected at the time by a record executive. In addition, Bruno Mars was named as the 2026 ambassador on January 28, 2026, and will release an exclusive compilation titled The Collaborations, featuring iconic songs he has made with the likes of Mark Ronson, Lady Gaga, and BLACKPINK’s Rosé.
KPop soundtracks and live recordings expand the 2026 release list
KPop will also be part of the event through special soundtrack releases for the KPop Demon Hunters film. The fictional groups HUNTR/X and Saja Boys will release two editions of the soundtrack with exclusive artwork and bonus items such as stickers and photocards. In the same KPop space, KATSEYE will share a vinyl featuring live and acapella versions of Touch and Gabriela.
Finally, a live recording by Olivia Dean will also be available, following her Grammy recognition on February 2, 2026 as the Best New Artist winner. Madonna will release a double album from her 2006 Confessions London tour, and Wicked One Wonderful Night Live, the television special led by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, will arrive as a double vinyl set on April 18, 2026.
