A bold height prediction on Christmas Day
On December 25, 2025, during the royal family’s traditional walk to church at Sandringham, Kate Middleton had a very cute moment with a fan. The Princess of Wales chatted with John Loughrey, a well-known royal supporter. He told Kate Middleton that he talked to Prince George about Princess Diana, telling him that she was a nanny figure in spirit and that she would be proud of him.
He told her that he had said to Prince George that Diana, as a nanny figure in spirit, would be proud of him. Then he confidently predicted that George would grow to be 6’4, something he brought up to Prince William, which made Kate laugh on the spot.
“And do you know what I said to William, your husband? He’s going to be 6’4.”
Growing fast in a tall royal family
Kate agreed that George is catching up quickly and joked that he really is reaching everyone’s height. But this would not be surprising, as Prince William is 6’3 and Kate Middleton herself is 5’9, so their eldest son has strong tall genes.
“I know, I swear, he’s catching up with everybody, isn’t he?, ” the Princess of Wales said.
Meanwhile, George is already twelve, while Princess Charlotte is ten and Prince Louis is seven, and together they have become a familiar trio at royal events.
George already shares shoes with his mum
The Princess of Wales mentioned another fun detail back on September 4 during a visit to London’s Natural History Museum. When a well-wisher asked about the children, she said they were getting big and gestured that they were almost as tall as she is. She added that George is already in her shoes, hinting that they might share the same shoe size. At this rate, that 6’4 prediction might not be so crazy after all.
