NMIXX is preparing to release their sixth EP, Strange Muse, which JYP Entertainment announced will be released on October 19, 2026. The six-track project will introduce a new musical direction for the girl group built around a dreamy atmosphere, with “Birthday Wish” serving as the lead single. The EP will arrive approximately five months after NMIXX’s previous mini-album, Heavy Serenade.
The upcoming project will also mark the first time NMIXX has included subunit tracks on one of its works. Three songs will feature different combinations of two members, giving the six-member team an opportunity to explore individual vocal colors and musical styles as smaller subunits. The EP will follow on the success of Heavy Serenade, whose title track reached #5 on Melon’s Top 100 and earned two wins on Korean television music programs.
NMIXX will also continue their live performances following the release. On November 27, 28, and 29, the six-piece group is scheduled to perform at Incheon’s Inspire Arena as an encore to its Episode 1: Zero Frontier tour. Their global tour initially began in November 2025 and took NMIXX to 17 cities across Asia, Europe, and North America. With Strange Muse, the members will now enter a new era with a new concept and sound.
