The highly anticipated Met Gala 2026 is here! And viewers will get the chance to enjoy the event from home on May 4, 2026. Fashion’s biggest night will take place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, but viewers around the world can still follow the red carpet as guests arrive. This year, the theme is “Costume Art,” and the dress code is “Fashion Is Art.” The red carpet, which is the part of the event the public gets to see, will begin at 6:00 p.m. EDT/3:00 p.m. PST.
Celebrity guests prepare for a major red carpet
The guest list is expected to include major names from music, film, fashion, and entertainment. Names like Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Alex Consani, and Zoë Kravitz are among the stars already connected to the event, with fans hoping to see BTS, Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, and the remaining three BLACKPINK members (Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo). However, their appearances have not been confirmed yet.

The Met Gala 2026 red carpet livestream will be hosted by Ashley Graham, La La Anthony, and Cara Delevingne. Emma Chamberlain will also return as red carpet correspondent for the sixth year in a row after first joining the livestream in 2021.
