Recent reports announce McKenna Grace has been cast to play Daphne in the upcoming ‘Scooby-Doo‘ live-action series made by Netflix, reuniting the group of friends who solve mysteries for a new story.

According to Variety sources, the famous actress will join the eighth episode’s production as Daphne Blake in a story that will delve into how the Mystery Inc. gang first met each other, and this time with a live-action version that will change everything for fans. The synopsis says:

“During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder.”

“Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.”

This is not the first time for McKenna Grace to play Daphne, as she gave her voice to the young version of the character in the animated film ‘Scoob!’ in 2020, demonstrating she is the perfect choice to play this young version of this role in this new series.
