A few hours ago, Marvel dropped the explosive first trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ driving fans crazy with unexpected cameos and battles against a new common enemy.
After its private release at CinemaCon, Marvel Studios officially publicly released the long-awaited first trailer on July 20th, featuring three universes bringing together superheroes from three different universes of the MCU.
The trailer shows how Thor‘s warning for a new threat reunites the Avengers, led by Sam Wilson as Captain America, including Steve Rogers’ return, with the Fantastic Four traveling between realities and the X-Men bringing back classic mutants like Professor X, Magneto, and Cyclops.
In this way, all these legends of the MCU come together to face their last villain, Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. on his return to Marvel, to begin the final chapter of the franchise’s Multiverse Saga.
According to Marvel’s official website, the new film directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo “follows beloved heroes from three distinct universes as they’re set on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered.”
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is set to premiere in theaters on December 18th this year.
