Through a recent Instagram update, Manon hinted at her departure from KATSEYE after her sad absence in the girls’ new comeback teaser with ‘Pink Up.’
After the idol’s hiatus was announced months ago due to health issues, followed by a racism and mistreatment controversy against the idol, many fans were speculating about her imminent departure from the girl group.
On April 2nd, KATSEYE officially released a new video teaser for their new project ‘Pink Up,’ apparently as a 5-member group. However, this was not all, because when Fan checked out Manon’s Instagram profile, she had removed ‘Katseye’ from her biography.
This update on her social networks was received by fans as a confirmation of her departure, even without the release of an official statement from the agency.
Manon announced her hiatus from the group in a contradictory message
In February, this year, HYBE and Geffen Records made a statement announcing the girl was going on a temporary hiatus to focus on her health, worrying many KATSEYE fans who also sent her good wishes for her well-being.
Later, the idol drew attention with a personal message assuring, “I’m healthy, I’m okay, and I’m taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t fully control” which genenrates doubts among fans about whats the real reason of her pause.
