MAMAMOO’s Hwa Sa is currently embarking on the promotions of their digital single, “Good Goodbye.” The idol has granted a sincere interview with Harper’s Bazaar Korea to talk about her personal life and the development of this new musical project.
On October 20 KST, Harper’s Bazaar Korea unveiled a new pictorial featuring Hwa Sa. The idol debuted with a short hairstyle and exuded her most natural beauty to the cameras, showcasing her charisma and uniqueness in the latest pictorial.
During the interview, Hwa Sa addressed her new song, “Good Goodbye,” and confessed that the song is too personal for her. That’s why she wants to convey a sincere feeling to the audience, singing not as an idol but as a human being.
“This is a song I sang not as ‘Hwa Sa,’ but as Ahn Hyejin.” Rather than the dazzling performer on stage, I wanted to write this song like a sincere letter — as a person speaking honestly from the heart. “I kept asking myself, ‘Why can’t I write this better?’ and revised the lyrics hundreds of times. But one day, the words just started flowing naturally. I realized that the simpler, more spontaneous phrases often felt the most sincere.”
