Latin American boy group Santos Bravos begins Korean promotions with a live radio performance

Santos Bravos, a Latin American boy group launched under HYBE, has officially started promoting their music in South Korea with a live appearance on “Bae Cheol-soo’s Music Camp.” The five-member group arrived in the country on April 4 and appeared on the veteran radio host’s long-running program a few days after landing in the Land of the Morning Calm. Their visit marked an important first step as they introduced themselves to Korean listeners through both music and conversation. For a newly launched group with international appeal, their performance gave it a valuable chance to connect with a local audience in a direct, personal way.

During the broadcast, Santos Bravos opened with “Velocidade,” one of the two lead songs from their first EP, “Dual.” The group also performed the emotional ballad “FE,” an acoustic version of their debut song “0%,” and a cover of the Backstreet Boys’ hit “Everybody.” In the interview, the members explained that the name Santos Bravos reflects the idea of duality in every person. They said “Santo” represents a softer, more emotional, and youthful side, while “Bravo” expresses a stronger, more passionate concept. That same idea shaped the title and sound of their debut EP.

The members also spoke about going through a K-pop style training system, saying that it was a challenging but meaningful experience that helped them grow. Then, they shared that they feel a strong sense of responsibility as a Latino pop group developed through that method. Since this is their first trip to Korea, they have also been learning about the culture. Alejandro said he has enjoyed foods like kimchi and bulgogi, while Gabi joked that the experience feels like being a new student at school. The five members also shared their musical influences, mentioning artists such as BTS, Bruno Mars, and Luis Miguel.

Following their appearance at the show, the Latin American boy band has been performing on traditional Korean music shows. The boy group has been promoting “Velocidade,” a primarily Portuguese song with elements of Spanish and English. The track has already been performed in The Show, Music Bank, Inkigayo, and M Countdown.
