The group will perform at a major UK film event
The singing stars of KPop Demon Hunters have been confirmed to perform the song “Golden” at the BAFTA Film Awards 2026. EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, known for being the singing voices of the girl group HUNTR/X, will appear together on stage for the first time outside the United States for this event. The ceremony will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday, February 22, 2026, and it will be broadcast on E! In the United States. The show will be hosted by Alan Cumming.
A global success and an award darling
KPop Demon Hunters became one of the most successful films of 2025 and was the most-watched movie in Netflix history. Similarly, the soundtrack’s main song, “Golden,” became one of the biggest hits last year. Despite its popularity around the world, the film is not eligible for BAFTA awards because of cinema release rules. With it being available primarily on Netflix, it could not be eligible as an actual nominee for the BAFTA awards.
Awards and industry recognition continue to grow
As awards season continues, “Golden” continues to score major wins in different ceremonies. For example, it won Best Song at the Golden Globes on January 7, 2026. The track also received the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 68th Grammy Awards on February 2, 2026. In addition, both the film and its soundtrack were nominated at the 98th Academy Awards, confirming the project’s strong impact across the film and music industries.
