Netflix’s animated blockbuster film, “Kpop Demon Hunters,” is still sweeping the categories that it’s nominated in. No matter the tough competition, “GOLDEN,” has met with the expectation of the music critics and the public overall.

On February 1 KST, during the 2026 GRAMMY Awards, “GOLDEN” made history after being announced as the winner of Best Song Written for Visual Media. This category honors songwriters such as EJAE, whose work for visual media demonstrates their artistic and musical excellence.

Ultimately, “GOLDEN,” becomes the first and only Kpop song to win such recognition in the music industry. Despite other Kpop acts being nominated in different categories, only “Kpop Demon Hunters” were able to rise to the top. However, this victory became a historic milestone not only for the Kpop Demon Hunters’ music songwriters but for Kpop’s expanding influence.

With this win, song contributors EJAE, Teddy, 24, and IDO (Yoo Han, Kwak Jung-gyu, Nam Hee-dong) officially earn the title of Grammy winners. Producer 24 shared in his acceptance remarks the following speech:

Although he couldn’t be here with us today, I dedicate this honor to my greatest mentor and closest friend, Teddy—the pioneer of K-pop—who was with me throughout this entire journey.”
