KISS OF LIFE has responded to the recent backlash over the choreography for their latest single, “Who is she.” During a recent live stream, members Belle and Julie spoke directly about the criticism and explained what the performance was meant to express. The discussion began after online viewers reacted to a challenge clip that showed two performers facing each other, holding each other by the neck, and moving their hips in sync. Some people felt the dancing was too provocative, quickly turning the choreography into a hot topic on social media.
Belle and Julie revealed that the performance was created to show confidence, boldness, and a fearless attitude. The pair explained that not every person will react to their art in the same way, and they understand that some responses to the song’s dancing would be negative. At the same time, they said KISS OF LIFE wants to keep pushing their concepts artistically, instead of avoiding difficult topics. They also said that they welcome constructive opinions, but believe that performances can be interpreted in different ways depending on who sees them.

“We believe those who felt uncomfortable are not wrong, that is simply how they perceived it. It is a bit disappointing when comments become hurtful, but we still respect those perspectives.”
The group also used the moment to share a broader message about confidence and self-image. They said every woman is beautiful in her own way, and there is no single standard that defines what is okay. According to them, having self-confidence and a healthy mindset. Meanwhile, the group’s latest single, “Who is she,” also reflects that idea by mixing a modern sound with the energy of 2000s dance pop and a strong stage presence
“Every woman is beautiful, sexy, and perfect in her own way. There is no single correct standard. What matters most is confidence and a healthy mindset.”
