The King smells a rose created for Beckham
One of the most-talked-about moments from the event was when King Charles stopped to smell a flower called the “Sir David Beckham Rose.” This special flower was created by David Austin Roses and introduced at the show this year. The rose was reportedly created at the request of Beckham’s daughter Harper for his 50th birthday in May 2025. During an earlier meeting at Highgrove, Beckham told the King the rose was white and had an amazing scent.

Royal guests attend the famous flower show
The King and Beckham were seen laughing together while Queen Camilla also shared a friendly conversation with the former athlete. A portion of sales from the Sir David Beckham Rose will support The King’s Foundation, a charity focused on nature and sustainability that David Beckham has supported as an ambassador since 2024. In addition, King Charles and Queen Camilla checked out the RHS and The King’s Foundation Curious Garden, which he helped curate. It was designed to inspire people to enjoy gardening. Several members of the royal family attended the event, including Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. Actress Judi Dench and Queen Camilla’s sister Annabel Elliot were also spotted at the popular garden celebration in London.
