King Charles III made a second iconic visit to Lancashire since he was crowned on May 6, 2023. Buckingham Palace itself has confirmed the visit was a complete success, after not visiting the lands in a long time.
The Monarch of the United Kingdom’s visit turned out to be intimate, as he visited the Clitheroe Auction Mart, where he met with farmers, local manufacturers, and members of the public. The King also reportedly viewed rare breed sheep and cattle, and the community even unveiled a commemorative plaque in the auction ring to mark his visit. The visit took place on February 9, 2026, and became the talk of the town among the locals.
The visit also comes as part of the King’s efforts to strengthen his connections with the British People, proving the British Crown is not a stranger to the rural outreach, as the King feels a duty to make everyone welcome in his rising reigning monarchy.
