During a recent interview, Jin opens up about his intentions to leave BTS after 7 years and how his mentality change made him stay to continue their successful career.
In recent days, the K-Pop idol made an appearance at the Kian84 YouTube Channel, where he recalled his previous encounter with the interviewer, his relationship with colleagues, his new album ‘ARIRANG,’ and promotions.
Amid the conversation, Kian recalled Jin debuting at the age of 22 and currently being 35 and asked what has changed since then, and he said that his perspective and mentality have changed, as he first debuted thinking he would be in the group only for 7 years before stepping away.
“My mindset changed to be a bit better. Before I was thinking, ‘Wouldn’t I just do this for about 7 years and then stop?’ But as I kept doing it, it gradually became fun, and I became more sincere.”
“I’m also very grateful to the fans. And because of that, I thought maybe it would be okay for me to be more sincere. I didn’t know I would do this for this long. As I kept doing it, it became fun, so I thought maybe it would be okay to do it seriously, and that feeling actually grew bigger for me over time. I just changed to be more positive.”
These words moved all fans that could not imagine a BTS without Jin and who are grateful for him to stay and now enjoy all the success he deserves.
