Jay Park unveiled the new boy group under his agency, LNGSHOT, on September 19th, 2025. This new crew made a surprise appearance at Hanyang University’s festival in Seoul, performing an unreleased track even though fans had almost no information about them. But what really caught the attention was the middle-finger pose captured in group photos posted by Jay Park himself.

The images quickly spread online, sparking criticism from some viewers. Some comments questioned the boldness of the move, while other users dubbed the photo and their poses as cultural appropriation. Despite the backlash, Jay Park himself captioned the post with “Aren’t my kids handsome? I can’t promise we’ll sell the most, but I can promise we’ll do K-pop the coolest,” followed by the hashtag #middlefingertothenorm. On a different tweet, he then responded to the criticism, saying:

“We already have haters, thats a great sign.”

For those who don’t know, besides being a singer and performer, Jay Park also established his own label, MORE VISION, in March 2022, which focuses on developing K-pop artists. The freshly revealed boy group, LGNSHOT, is made up of members OHYUL, RYUL, WOOJIN, and LOUIS, and they’re now taking their first step in the K-pop spotlight. Their official debut is slated for January 2026, giving them a few months to build anticipation.
