Jacob Elordi returns to Euphoria as a massive movie star

Jacob Elordi is stepping back onto the Euphoria set, but this time, everything feels different! In a Vanity Fair interview published on December 11, 2025, the Australian actor opened up about how much his career has transformed since season one of HBO’s hit series. Jacob admitted that during the early days of Euphoria, he constantly told creator Sam Levinson how badly he wanted to make movies. Now, after starring as the creature in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein on Netflix, the 28-year-old actor feels like he’s returning with growth, talent and ambition.

“It was exciting to come back because on the first season of that show, I would bug Sam Levinson about how badly I wanted to make movies and how much I love movies. I felt like the prodigal son returning with my bags full of stories of the movies I’d made. I was like, ‘Father, look what I have gathered!’”

His remarks on he show also line up perfectly with the hype surrounding season three. On December 4, 2025, HBO dropped the first teaser poster for the upcoming installment of the show, confirming that the long-awaited season will drop in April 2026.  Zendaya returns as Rue, and filming officially wrapped in November 2025, making the countdown very real. This season jumps years past high school and introduces new cast members like Natasha Lyonne, Eli Roth, Danielle Deadwyler, and Colleen Camp.

Meanwhile, Sam Levinson revealed that Cassie (played by Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (played by Jacob Elordi) are engaged, with Cassie spiraling into social media obsession and an OnlyFans era. Euphoria season three is shaping up to be an iconic 2026 show, with hype that grows even more thanks to Jacob Elordi’s glow up as a certified movie star.
