J-Hope sparks Super Bowl rumors after interview mentions a potential BTS performance

Fans push the NFL after a host says the group should be invited in 2027

BTS member J-Hope sparked fan excitement after talking about a dream performance during a YouTube interview released on March 25, 2026. During the chat, host Kany Diabaté asked him what kind of stage he would love to perform on someday. The rapper answered by mentioning the Super Bowl and said he wondered what it would feel like to stand on that stage. Diabaté then responded directly to the NFL and said they should invite BTS for the next Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2027.

“Super bowl people! NFL whatever, you have to call BTS call them for the next one 2027,” the host said.

After the clip spread, many fans began tagging the official NFL account on X and asking the league to seriously consider BTS for a future Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. The idea is not completely new. Back in 2022, Suga himself had already addressed the possibility on Weverse. He said a Super Bowl stage would be something to consider, but also explained that the final decision would depend on receiving an official invitation. This remark has now returned to the conversation as fans have linked Suga’s past interest with J-Hope’s recent answer in the interview.

“Do I want to perform at the Super Bowl next year? I’d like to, but we’ll have to be invited… We can’t do it just because we want to,” Suga said.

Outside of football, BTS members have already shown interest in sports. In 2023, Suga was introduced as an NBA ambassador after attending several basketball games and speaking openly about teams and players he follows, including the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard. Now, attention is focused on the NFL because BTS returned with ARIRANG, released on March 20, 2026. The boy group is currently promoting the project, with a documentary slated for March 27 on Netflix and a world tour starting in April.
