Wonyoung supports pediatric and adolescent patients in Seoul
IVE Wonyoung recently donated 200 million KRW (approximately 138,561 USD) to Severance Hospital to help support pediatric and adolescent patients. The donation was made to improve treatment conditions and assist children during their recovery. From the total amount, 100 million KRW was assigned to the Severance Children’s Hospital development fund. Meanwhile, the remaining 100 million KRW was directed to the Department of Pediatrics at Gangnam Severance Hospital. Hospital officials confirmed that the funds will be utilized to improve medical care and patient support services.
Lee Sang Gil, Director of External Relations at Yonsei Medical Center, showed gratitude, expressing, “We sincerely appreciate Jang Won Young’s meaningful contribution. We will ensure it is used carefully to provide tangible support to young patients.”
Hospital representatives highlight her motivation and influence
A representative explained that Wonyoung decided to donate after receiving strong public support for her positive mindset and attitude. Because many of her fans are young, she wanted to set a good example by giving back to the community. The IVe member also hoped that children close to her age would feel encouraged during their treatment and recovery.
“She decided to make the donation in hopes of supporting children her age in their treatment and recovery, spreading positive influence, and helping them grow toward a brighter future together,” the representative said.
IVE continues long-term charity and music activities
IVE has maintained steady work with charities over the past several years. On February 10, 2023, the group donated 150 million KRW to support earthquake relief in Türkiye and Syria. In March 2025, they donated another 200 million KRW to help wildfire recovery in the Gyeongsang region and to support firefighters. In November 2025, the group also provided support following a major fire in Hong Kong. Alongside their strong will to help good causes, IVE released the pre-release track “BANG BANG” on February 9, 2026, from their upcoming album “REVIVE+,” becoming the group’s first standout musical moment this year.
