The calendar just flipped, but IU made sure to end 2025 in the best way possible. On December 31, her agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced she donated a total of 200 million won, which is about 138,400 dollars. She did it under the name IUAENA, a mix of IU and her fanbase UAENA, proving that her fans are with her every step of the way.

The money was split evenly at 50 million won each across four organizations: The Korean Unwed Mothers Families Association will support single mothers, and the National Center for the Rights of the Child will help young people transitioning out of foster care. Finally, the  Wooyang Foundation and the Snail of Love organization will use IU’s generous donations to fund hearing aid support, cochlear implant surgeries, hearing aid support and will also provide food for the elderly during the winter.

This is not her first time either. She has been doing this on meaningful dates like her debut anniversary and birthday. In March, she donated 200 million won for wildfire victims and firefighters. On Children’s Day, she gave 150 million won to support children and teenagers. Meanwhile, the KPop and K-Drama star is currently working on her next show “Perfect Crown,” which will reportedly air in 2026.
