On December 23, BTS’ V casually posted an Instagram Story showing the tiny paws of a white cat, and just like that, the fans (also known as ARMY) spiraled! They instantly wondered if V had officially entered his cat dad era. The kitty chatter quickly revived a memory from about two years ago, when the BTS member appeared on Pixie and openly talked about learning more about cats. At the time, he even joked that Yeontan might get a baby brother or sister. That comment aged like fine wine because ARMY wasted zero time connecting it to the recent Story!

Longtime fans also pulled out deep lore. Back in his early debut days, V actually owned a cat named Kkanji, who mostly stayed with his parents. With this new post, memories of V and Kkanji resurfaced, making the theory feel even more believable. The timing also felt emotional due to past memories. On December 2, 2024, V shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of his beloved dog Yeontan. He posted photos spanning several years, asking fans to remember Yeontan warmly. Yeontan was a black Pomeranian first introduced on December 4, 2017, famously called the eighth member of BTS. Sadly, the dog battled serious heart conditions throughout his life.

Now, V is looking ahead! He is currently preparing for BTS’ full group comeback scheduled for March 2026, with a major world tour and a full-length album reportedly in the works. At the same time, he continues to shine solo, including his recent cover feature with Vogue Japan, in which he talked about his fellow BTS members, 2026 plans, and his relationship with fashion.
