ILLIT reveals comeback plans for upcoming mini-album MAMIHLAPINATAPAI

The group begins their April 2026 countdown with new concept photos, teasers, and a festival event in Seoul

ILLIT has officially started the promotion period for their fourth mini-album, MAMIHLAPINATAPAI, giving fans a clearer look at what is coming before the release. On April 6, 2026, the girl group shared their full promotional schedule on their official social media accounts. The teasers immediately sparked excitement among fans because they showcased a more mature concept for ILLIT’s comeback. Their upcoming mini-album title has drawn attention because it comes from the language of the Yaghan people of South America. The word was recognized by Guinness World Records in 1993 as the “most succinct word,” and the language is now considered extinct. The term is known for being difficult to translate, and it refers to a meaningful exchange of looks between two people who both want to begin something, but neither one makes the first move.

The members, Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha, will be seen in a series of teasers that will continue through the rest of April, in preparation for the mini-album release. According to the schedule, ILLIT just released concept photos for the GRWM version on April 7, 2026, followed by the FREE RIDER version on April 14, 2026. Fans had already seen the PAW PAW version, which matched each member with an animal look-alike. Now, the girl group is moving forward with a fresh and more polished image.

Alongside these versions, ILLIT will then share a highlight medley on April 21, 2026, giving listeners a first taste of the tracks in the project. More content connected to the title track, It’s Me, will arrive soon after. This includes a campaign film, set for April 23, 2026, and another concept photo version will be released on April 24, 2026. Meanwhile, music video teasers are scheduled for April 27 and April 28, 2026.
Mark your calendars: MAMIHLAPINATAPAI will finally be released on April 30, 2026. After the album release, ILLIT will hold the ILLIT Seoul Children’s Grand Park Festival on May 5, 2026, where fans and families can enjoy interactive booths and a live performance.
