I.O.I becomes a Music Core winner with “Suddenly”

Since their debut in 2016, I.O.I has constantly given a masterclass of reinvention and delivering quality music. The girls’ efforts over the years have paid off as their song, “Suddenly,” is currently one of the most talked-about songs among the K-Netizens nowadays. 

On July 4 KST, a new exciting episode of “Show! Music Core!” was broadcast with amazing performances by V8, EVAN, MEOVV, RIIZE, izna, Primrose, Hearts2Hearts, USPEER, dodge, CLASSy, among other amazing Kpop acts that give their all and captivated the audience with their amazing performance skills. The mix of performances across different styles and concepts brought a unique episode to all the fandom. 

As usual, at the end of the show, the hosts took over the stage to make the biggest announcement of the night: The candidates for this week’s crown. This time,  I.O.I’s “Suddenly”, ILLIT’s “It’s Me”, and RIIZE’s “Do your dance” were all competing closely for the top spot. Ultimately, I.O.I took the trophy with a total score of 6637 points, demonstrating strong digital streaming and album sales, and sustained popularity.
