MAMAMOO’s Hwasa has everyone talking again! Though this time not just for her music, but also for what seems like a quiet confirmation of her breakup with her 12-year-older businessman boyfriend. On October 22nd, 2025, she appeared on SBS Power FM’s “Cultwo Show” with comedian Hong Yoon Hwa, where she opened up about her latest single “Good Goodbye.” This ballad was co-written by Hwasa and composed herself, exploring letting go of love while still wishing the other person well. “When I first wrote it, people told me a ‘good goodbye’ doesn’t exist,” she said with a smile. “But now many listeners tell me they feel peace through the song — that makes me proud.”

When host Kim Tae Gyun asked if she had experienced such a goodbye herself, Hwasa responded, “I think it’s possible.” Fans quickly connected her words to the rumors surrounding her five-year relationship with a businessman twelve years her senior. Although her agency never confirmed the romance, Hwasa recently hinted on Park Na Rae’s YouTube channel that she’s now single, saying, “The three of us are all single now.” Both the timing and the emotional tone of her new song have fans convinced that  “Good Goodbye” may be more personal than she lets on.

Still, Hwasa proved she’s not letting heartbreak slow her down! During the same interview, she revealed her strict fitness routine: running 3 kilometers at home and 7 to 8 outdoors, all on an empty stomach. She said it clears her mind and boosts her energy for the day. Just like that, Hwasa continues to show the kind of strength that made her a K-pop icon in the first place.
