G-Dragon is always in the eye of the hurricane when it comes to making performances at different South Korean music awards. The idol has received waves of criticism among Korean netizens after his “awkward” performance at the 2025 “Melon Music Awards.”
The BIGBANG member dominated the night with multiple awards earned during the ceremony, including “Song of the Year,” “Album of the Year,” and “Artist of the Year,” along with other amazing awards recognizing his work as a writer and producer.
The anticipation for his performance was high, and rapidly descended when the idol performed “POWER,” “HOME SWEET HOME,” AND “DRAMA.” The strong setlist wasn’t enough to save G-Dragon from criticism, as he lacked live vocals, relied more on poses and stage presence rather than giving an actual performance.
This is not the first time that G-Dragon has faced controversy following a performance, as he was highly criticized for his 2025 MAMA Awards performance. Previously, the idol has stated that his performance skills depend on the day, which made him the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons.
