The 2026 FIFA World Cup will open with a large music lineup, featuring BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Katy Perry, Tyla, Anitta, Future, and several other artists. They are expected to perform during the opening ceremonies, taking place in the three hosting countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The events will help launch the tournament, and the first live event will begin before Mexico’s first match on June 11, 2026.

First, Katy Perry will headline the opening ceremony at Los Angeles ‘ SoFi Stadium before the United States men’s national team plays against Paraguay on June 12, 2026. Future is also expected to perform that same day, along with DJ Sanjoy. Then, Michael Bublé will perform with Alessia Cara and Alanis Morissette before Canada plays Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 12, 2026, in Toronto. Other Canadian artists, including Jessie Reyez, Nora Fatehi, and William Prince, are also expected to take part in the celebrations.

Finally, Mexico will wrap up the round of opening ceremonies with a game against South Africa at Azteca Stadium on June 11, 2026. Fans are expected to see performances from Maná, Tyla, and Los Ángeles Azules before the match. More artists, including J Balvin, Danny Ocean, Elyanna, and Marilina Bogado, are also expected to appear in World Cup-related events. However, FIFA has not yet announced the performers for the World Cup Final Halftime Show, which will take place on July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
