ENHYPEN is making anime history with their webtoon Dark Moon The Blood Altar, finally transforming into a Japanese animation. On December 28, 2025, Aniplex, which sits under Sony Music Japan, hosted the first public screening at Toho Cinemas in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Fans watched episode one and then lost their minds when all seven members walked on stage, joined by six Japanese voice actors for a celebratory greeting session.

The anime marks a milestone in HYBE’s Story IP Business. Based on the Naver Webtoon, which already has more than 200 million cumulative views, it has proved global popularity. In addition, the story has turned into a full experience thanks to a Dark Moon festival at Lotte World Adventure and a fashion line with SPAO. The production is in the hands of Aniplex and animation TROYCA, ensuring big names working behind the scenes.

The anime will air officially in Japan starting January 9, 2026, across Tokyo MX, BS11, and two more channels. International viewers get to join the fun only 90 minutes later through global distribution networks. Starting January 13, 2026, it will also drop on Netflix and Hulu, so get your popcorn and your darkest outfits because Dark Moon is officially here!
