Disney+ is following Netflix’s steps by cracking down on password-sharing

Disney+ has become one of the favorite streaming platforms by users because of its innovative shows and movies. Despite numerous platforms increasing their subscription prices, this move wasn’t enough. Previously, Disney+ expressed its desire to limit account sharing at its Q3 earnings call in August. Despite that they remained silent about this situation, it’s official that the streaming giant is taking its first steps to crack down on password sharing, and Canada is going to be the first country to have those restrictions.

Disney+ users in Canada received an email that explained the prohibition from sharing their subscription with others as part of its updated Subscriber Agreement starting on November 1. In addition, the email’s purpose was to detail how the streaming giant intends to limit account sharing to a household.

However, download content for offline viewing is missing from this tier.
