According to Deadline reports, Disney is developing a live-action movie focusing on Gaston, the famous villain from ‘Beauty and The Beast‘ bringing his story to life with production and giving a new perspective of this infamous character.

Through new reports, the media sources assured that the studio is in early development of this new movie alongside Dave Callaham, who is writing the script, and Michelle Rejwan, who is producing, but no director is attached at this time.

Although the details behind this production are still unknown, the “sources say it will be a new and original version with a new actor, and that the film will have ‘swashbuckling’ tones to it”, and that Disney is very interested in the idea.
