The EXO-CBX trio (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin) isn’t giving up on performing with EXO as a full group. After SM Entertainment announced on October 29, 2025, that EXO’s next fan meeting EXO’verse and a 2026 album would move forward without them, their new agency INB100 fired back, clarifying that the three were always willing to participate. The trio have been making every possible effort to be part of the group’s full comeback, even clearing their December schedules to prioritize EXO.
INB100 revealed a detailed timeline of efforts: a first meeting with SM on July 9 to express interest in working together, more detailed negotiations on September 10, and a final mediation on October 2, where CBX accepted all of SM’s conditions for EXO’s return. They said the three idols had been waiting for SM’s final approval when they suddenly learned about the upcoming fan event and album that excluded them entirely. INB100 expressed that the three “have kept their promise to fans” and continue striving to perform alongside the rest of the EXO members.
Despite the confusion and public controversy, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin remain hopeful. They’ve chosen to settle an agreement, valuing EXO’s legacy and the loyalty of their fans. As of now, it’s unclear if SM Entertainment will open the door for the trio to join the group’s promotion, but the trio is making it very clear that they want to join their other members.
