BTS has written history once again with the release of their fifth album, “ARIRANG,” and the massive success in the South Korean and American markets. Ultimately, BTS is topping every single chart with this iconic release.
On March 30, Billboard announced that BTS’s fifth full-length album debuted straight at No.1 on the Billboard 200, surpassing Luke Combs’ “The Way I Am” and Morgan Wallen’s “I’m The Problem.” The idols have now topped both the U.K. and U.S. album charts.
It was reported that “ARIRANG” recorded 641,000 album units, marking the highest first-week for a group since the chart adopted the unit system in December 2014. 532,000 units came from pure album sales, showcasing the great support BTS has received from the American audience.
The 532,000 pure sales also represent BTS’s all-time highest sales record, earning them their seventh No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart. Congratulations to BTS on this amazing record in the United States!
