BTS recently presented the title track, “SWIM,” off their album, “ARIRANG,” which already broke several records within hours on different streaming platforms. The huge attention “SWIM” has received has also drawn comparisons with other artists’ songs that sound almost the same.

Recently, a popular TikToker who shares similarities between songs shared his thoughts on BTS’s new song, “SWIM,” and compared it with Jason Derulo’s “Ridin’ Solo.” Although he was only sharing similarities, it sparked a heated debate online among K-Netizens.

Some of the comments highlighted that the group should do something original that people would be interested in. They stated f it were any other group, there would be allegations accusing them of “copying.”

On the other hand, many fans defended BTS, explaining that using samples is pretty common and similar beats in songs are something often heard, which means people shouldn’t be harsh on BTS’s comeback.
