BTS breaks more Spotify records with the album ARIRANG

The group claims the top 14 places on the global chart one day after the album’s release

BTS reached a major new milestone with the release of their album ARIRANG. On March 21, 2026, one day after the project came out, Spotify announced that the project had already broken two major records on the platform. According to Spotify, ARIRANG became the most-streamed KPop album in Spotify’s history. It also became the most-streamed album of any genre in a single day in 2026 so far. The announcement showed how strong BTS’s power remains following years of hiatus due to their military service.

The album also dominated Spotify’s daily Global Top Songs chart strongly and completely. All 14 tracks from ARIRANG occupied the top 14 positions. The title track “SWIM” debuted at No. 1, while the rest of the album followed immediately behind it. “Body to Body” landed at No. 2, “Hooligan” at No. 3, “FYA” at No. 4, and “Aliens” at No. 5. The remaining songs continued down the chart, showing that listeners were already loving the album as a full project and not only liking invidiual songs.

Other tracks also performed strongly, with “2.0” at No. 6, “Merry Go Round” at No. 7, “NORMAL” at No. 8, and “Like Animals” at No. 9. “they don’t know ‘bout us” entered at No. 10, followed by “No. 29” at No. 11, “One More Night” at No. 12, “Please” at No. 13, and “Into the Sun” at No. 14. Together, these results gave BTS one of the most dominant single day chart performances of 2026 on Spotify.
