The Kpop scene is taking the music industry once again with the upcoming participation of BLACKPINK’s Lisa in the opening ceremony for the “FIFA World Cup 2026” in the United States, following the great success of Jungkook’s performance in the event four years ago.
The FIFA media accounts unveiled that the opening ceremony will be held in 3 cities, including Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Toronto. In particular, Lisa is set to take the stage at the ceremony in Los Angeles, California, on June 12, alongside Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, Rema, and Tyla. Despite there still being no official information on the schedule, it is expected that Lisa will have a solo moment on the stage to showcase all of their talents to the football fans.
Notably, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is the only Kpop act this year, becoming the second Kpop artist to perform for the “FIFA World Cup” ceremony. The idol is set to make a grand comeback with her upcoming performance and might kick off a brand new solo era for the idol as she promotes BLACKPINK’s latest album, “DEADLINE.” Are you excited for Lisa’s performance?
