BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Jisoo: The different strengths in their new solo music

The two members released music on the same day and performed differently across major markets

BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Jisoo returned with new solo songs on September 4, 2026, marking the first time two members of the group released solo music on the same day. Lisa released “SaWaDiKa,” while Jisoo followed later with “Click.” The two releases immediately attracted attention as fans started streaming the songs and music videos across YouTube, and the releases began charting in South Korea and global markets.


Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” gained a major advantage on YouTube, reaching 1 million views within its first hour and surpassing 30 million views after 10 hours. The video later exceeded 40 million views after 13 hours and reportedly broke the record for the most-viewed music video within its first 24 hours on YouTube in 2026. Meanwhile, Jisoo’s “Click” reached 1 million views after approximately one hour and 46 minutes and surpassed 5 million views after nine hours.

Both music videos reached the top of YouTube’s global trending music chart, with “SaWaDiKa” at #1 and “Click” at “2. Lisa also had a strong performance on international platforms, such as iTunes US and Thailand. In comparison, Jisoo showed stronger results on major South Korean music charts, including Melon, Genie and Bugs. “Click” will serve as the lead single from Jisoo’s upcoming first solo album, which remains untitled at the time of writing. Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” is the first track from her upcoming EP, “Press Play,” which is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026.
