Big Bang returns to Coachella for their 20th anniversary performance

The group is set to headline the Outdoor Theatre in April 2026 with G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung.

Big Bang is preparing for a major return to the stage at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The festival will take place across two weekends, from April 11 to April 13, 2026. Then, the trio will take the stage again on weekend two, which goes from April 18 to April 20, 2026. Big Bang’s appearance is especially meaningful because it comes as the boy group marks their 20th anniversary. This will be the band’s first scheduled official activity tied to that achievement, making the performance a celebratory moment for the group and the fans.

The upcoming performance also carries added meaning because Big Bang was originally scheduled to perform at Coachella in 2020. That appearance was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many fans had waited years to see the group finally take over the stage at the festival. Since then, the Big Bang has changed from a four-member team to a three-member unit. The 2026 Coachella performance will feature members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. For the past five years, fans have also hoped for a surprise appearance from former member T.O.P. However, his recently released album and negative comments about returning to idol life make it unlikely.

Big Bang is scheduled to headline the Outdoor Theatre on April 13, 2026, and April 20, 2026. A teaser video released ahead of the shows presents the group’s flag standing on a glowing moon, suggesting a large-scale, big performance. This year’s Coachella lineup also includes artists such as Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, The XX, Nine Inch Nails, David Byrne, and Armin van Buuren. On the K-pop front, Taemin of Shinee and KATSEYE will also be performing at the festival.
