Through her social networks account, Aespa‘s Karina breaks silence on her concerning airport look, explaining the reason behind her rare expression of mid-schedule.
On June 10th, the K-pop idol was captured alongside her member Winter arriving at the airport to take a flight to Mexico to join the cheering and support the South Korean national football team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
While many praised Karina’s comfortable and elegant look, many fans noticed that in several of the photos, the singer had a slightly tense or frowning expression, generating doubt and concern among fans worried about her well-being.
In response, the idol shared a new Instagram story with some of the viral media photos from the airport and explained that the reason behind her weird face expressions was an allergy:
“Because of my allergies, I had to frown so it wouldn’t be noticeable. So I had no choice but to walk around with a grimace on my face. I’m so upset.
I really liked my hair and makeup today, though. I’ll be back safely!🤍
hwaiting 🤍.”
Later, the Aespa member even talked to fans through her Bubble fan chat and confessed she was upset because she suffered allergies on her way to the airport and asked fans to not misunderstand her expressions: “I just had to make faces to cover up my allergies.”
