The Kpop scene has been currently tainted by tens of controversies coming from the wide conflict between NewJeans and ADOR. Recently, the Seoul Central District Court granted ADOR’s injunction request, blocking NewJeans from conducting independent activities and making them continue their contract.

ADOR has also released several bombs to all the Kpop fans who were patiently waiting to discover NewJeans’ future. After all the controversy, the girls’ music agency has released four key points to understand the situation and know what’s coming for NewJeans in 2026.

What did ADOR do?

  1. Danielle’s contract: The music agency has revealed that her exclusive contract has been concluded. ADOR believes that they consider Danielle violated the contract, so they will also be filing a complaint related to these matters.
  2. Hanni’s contract: The idol was one of the first to announce she will be returning to the company under the name of NewJeans, despite Danielle not being there.
  3. Minji’s contract: There’s still an air of uncertainty regarding Minji. ADOR has stated they are still in negotiations on the terms of her contract.
  4. Haerin & Hyein’s contract: ADOR didn’t have any issue with the two idols, so both returned as NewJeans in November, with their contracts remaining valid.
