BTS scores 5th #1 on the Hot 100 with ‘Permission to Dance’ and breaks numerous all-time records

<p>The Kpop group of the moment has achieved new milestones in its history after the arrival of ‘Permission to Dance’ at # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.</p>

<p>BTS’s new single managed to sell over 140,000 copies in its first week, and generated over 14 million streams that secured their fifth # 1 single on the chart. And thanks to that, a new series of records that allow the group to continue increasing its achievements with the support of ARMY.</p>

<p>These have been some of the new achievements of BTS (방탄 소년단) after the arrival of ‘Permission to Dance’ at # 1:</p>

<p>– First group to replace themselves from # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in over 12 years.</p>

<p>– Joining Drake as the only acts to replace themselves from a # 1 debut single with a # 1 debut single.</p>

<p>– The group has achieved its 5 # 1’s in a span of 10 months and 2 weeks, thus being the fastest accumulation of 5 # 1’s on the chart since Michael Jackson who achieved it in 9 months and 2 weeks.</p>
