The Billboard 200 charts will be a three-way fight between Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, rising girl group KATSEYE, and pop queen Lorde. Billboard spilled the tea on this chart battle on July 2, 2025, with each act pushing for big numbers and fans racing to see who lands where.

Lorde’s fourth album Virgin, which dropped June 27, is leading early projections with around 150,000 units thanks to multiple vinyl variants, signed copies, and strong digital downloads. Critics are loving its lyrics and stripped-back sound. But don’t get too comfortable — the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack is quietly making massive moves with over 220 percent streaming growth last week and five songs climbing the Spotify charts. And that’s without physical copies.

Then there’s KATSEYE, whose second EP Beautiful Chaos dropped the same day as Lorde’s. They’re backed by HYBE and Geffen and already have two tracks on the Hot 100. With exclusive CD covers and vinyl drops, they’re projected to hit about 70,000 units — not bad for a rookie group. Next Tuesday’s Billboard update? Drama guaranteed.
